Yes. Reservations are highly recommended, arrgh trips typically fill very quickly.
Walk-ups are welcome but we recommend a reservation to guarantee your family’s spot.

Federal requirements mandate every person onboard have a ticket, including infants.
All passengers older than age three (3) are $29.00 per person.
Passengers aged one (1) and two (2) are only $14.00 per person.
Infants & babies are only $5.00 to ride onboard (and look super cute with face paint!); please keep in mind all passengers must be ticketed for arrrgh manifest and total passenger count to not exceed the federal limit for this boat (essentially, please don’t arrive with an un-ticketed baby).

Yes.
A minimum of one (1) responsible adult is required to accompany your children; however, we recommend as many as want to enjoy in their children or grandchildren’s experience!

The entire activity takes approximately an hour and half (1.5 hours) to complete. Â You arrgh onboard the Sea Gypsy for approximately 55-65 minutes.
The total times includes the face painting, lucky treasure hunting vest dress up, the Captain’s introduction, and of course the adventure itself!

For the PIRATE SHIP ADVENTURES, you need to arrive no later than fifteen (15) minutes prior to scheduled time so your children can be face painted for FREE, dressed with a lucky treasure hunting vest to wear on the Pirate Ship, and receive their pirate name tag for the adventure. When the entire crew is prepared for boarding, the Captain greets them and then the real adventure begins.
For ALL other ACTIVITIES & DEPARTURES, you must arrive thirty (30) minutes early to check in and board so the boats can stay on schedule.

Of course! Upon arrival we don your children with one of arrrgh lucky treasure hunting vests to wear during the trip.
Additionally, for purchase there arrrgh a number of pirate hats, skulldanas, swords, guns, eye patches, and much more to choose from if you wish to purchase yaargh buccaneer with some fun accessories!

We arrrgh open seven days a week from Memorial Day until Labor day and then a limited schedule during the fall and spring.

It is possible to catch a little over spray from a passing boat wake or the cannon fire into the wind however all passengers on the boat typically stay dry.

The Sea Gypsy stays in the tranquil and protected body of water named Murrells Inlet; this is not an ocean going adventure. Although everybody is different, we are confident you or your children won’t get seasickness.

YES, you can take as many pictures as possible! We want you to share and remember yaaaargh experience for years to come!
We do ask that you DO NOT video record (or video-phone) the adventure because it is protected and proprietary script and dialogue of the crew that we worked hard to develop at our small business.

Yes, we have free parking available in the gravel lot across the street from our ships store.

Arrrgh Ships Store & Ticket Booth is located next to the BIG RED CHAIR by the front stairs of the Dead Dog Saloon restaurant on the parking lot side. The Dead Dog Saloon and the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet is a small town in Georgetown County approximately 10-12 miles South of the Myrtle Beach International Airport or 5 miles North of Brookgreen Gardens.

Ticket sales and check in for reservations starts at the Ships Store located in front of the restaurant on the parking lot side of the Dead Dog Saloon. Once checked in, arrrgh staff will march the entire group down to the ship.

No, they are not required to wear them onboard, we are a USCG inspected vessel but we do have them in case of emergencies.

Yes we try to be; however, it’s circumstantial to each individual and their equipment. From the main Marshwalk there is a ramp down to the boat dock. This ramp steepness during the low tide as the tides ebb and flood throughout the day. There is also a step at the bottom of the ramp and about a foot and a half step up into the pirate ship. The pirate ship door width is 2 feet and 4 inches.
