Our Top Cruises for Summer 2024

Sunset views at Murrells Inlet south of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

There is nothing quite like a summer cruise and these days, you don’t have to be rich or famous to enjoy the warm summer’s breeze as you glide across the waters with a glamorous sunset on the horizon. In fact, all you need to do is decide what kind of adventure you might like for yourself or to share with someone special in your life.
Today we’re going to tell you about our top 3 cruises for the summer of 2024 and you can see for yourself.
There’s something magical about cruising the Murrells Inlet waters that you just can’t find anywhere else and what’s more – There are trips tailored to every taste.
Let’s take a look at our top 3 cruises and you can decide!

1. Bird Watching Eco Tour

One of our personal favorites and quite popular with nature lovers, The Bird Watching Eco Tour bids you to come onboard the Explorer, a 54 foot vessel that is USGC certified and ready to host you and your loved ones.
While aboard, you’ll be exploring the saltwater Murrell’s Inlet saltwater marsh, home to over 300 species of birds! Enchanting avians like Sprague’s Pipit, the Fulvous whistling duck, and the Roseate Spoonbill… just to name a few.
Accompanying you will be a naturalist to help you in your bird spotting and also in the observation of the local sea life, and we’ll even dredge the waters to show you some of the fascinating life hiding under the depths.
Before you go there will also be a landing at a local beach to walkabout and search for shells and other treasures that Nature has left hidden on the shores. If you love birds and natural beauty, the Bird Watching Eco Tour is the perfect way to let go and live a little!

2. Sunset Cruise

The South Carolina sunset, sinking into the waters, is truly a sight to see – Especially with someone special, hand in hand. Standing or sitting on deck on the 54-foot Explorer, you’ll have a fantastic view of it, but not before we’ve treated you to the local sights, sounds, and scents.
During your Sunset Cruise of the Murrells Inlet Saltwater Marsh Estuary, you’ll get to see the unique wildlife that it hosts, as we glide through the waters and show you historic and beautiful homes nestled throughout this unique community.
At the end of the day, however, it’s showtime – As the sun starts to slip down to kiss the Estuary’s waters and you and your loved ones will experience the Murrells Inlet Sunset firsthand.
It’s a beautiful sight, courtesy of Mother Nature, and yours to fondly keep for the rest of your life.

3. Children’s Pirate Adventure

Hands-down the most popular cruise for kids, the Children’s Pirate Adventure is nothing short of amazing! Young pirates-to-be will be outfitted with a lucky treasure-hunting vest and given a painted mustache or a temporary anchor tattoo before they are whisked away on the 37-foot Sea Gypsy for high adventure!
Once onboard, the kids will earn their ‘sea legs’ as they decipher the clues from an ancient treasure map. They’ll have to be crafty, as the dread Pirate Pete is also after the sunken booty, but he’s in for a surprise. The Sea Gypsy is fully armed with water cannons that are ready and waiting for poor ol’ Pirate Pete!
As far as summer memories go, this one’s pretty hard to beat.
